Our school’s Multicultural Liaison Officer (MLO) supports newcomer students and families with settlement services, navigating the school system, language interpretation, and more.
The Multicultural Liaison Officer (MLO) program provides support in multiple languages for students and families who are newcomers and refugees. The Multicultural Liaison Officer works with school staff to welcome newcomer families and connect them with important services, resources, and supports within our school and in the local community.
Ming Wang is the Multicultural Liaison Officer at our school. Ming speaks English and Mandarin and can also help you access support in other languages.

Bio:
Ming has been with OCISO since 2001. Ming loves supporting students, parents, and school staff, and loves diversity in the workplace.
Before joining OCISO, Ming worked as a LINK Child Program Coordinator in Ottawa for 9 years. Ming has a Bachelor of Education.
In their free time, Ming enjoys reading, music, and painting. Ming believes that “education is the one thing no one can take away from you.”
