The EarthBUDs have been working hard on the Tomato 150 Project for the past month.  In celebration of Canada's 150th year, we have grown organically from heirloom seed, 4 varieties of tomatoes (Roma, Beef Steak, Old German and Bonny Best).  We are going to sell these 150 tomato plants starting on Wednesday,  May 24, 2017.

Proceeds from sales will go towards further EarthBUD projects/local environmental causes.

Prices will be:
1 plant $3 or 2 plants for $5

With each tomato sold we are asking for an environmental pledge.  These pledges will be proudly displayed on our Canadian Flag which will be posted soon on the bulletin board at the front of the school.  Pledges can be as simple as using your green bin more, planting a garden, using your bike instead of driving, etc.

 CMS Student Well-being

What is Student Well-being?

Within the OCDSB, well-being refers to a positive sense of self and belonging and the skills to make positive and healthy choices to support learning and achievement, provided in a safe and accepting environment for all students.

Our Vision

Every student in every classroom feels a strong sense of well-being and connectedness as a result of learning and living in a school environment that is welcoming, equitable, inclusive and respectful. A place where every student is encouraged to take risks, be creative, and innovative in a learning culture that is caring and safe. A place where healthy relationships are nurtured and students are inspired every day to participate actively and with confidence. A place where conditions enable every student to achieve to the best of their ability and be successful in all aspects of learning and life.

 Special Thanks

Cedarview Chocolate Fundraiser

We are thrilled to report the fantastic results of our annual fundraiser.  Chocolate was a big hit in the Fall and our School Council raised over $18,000.

We would like to thank all of our students and parents for their help in supporting the program either by direct chocolate sales or through donations ($1500).

It was a massive undertaking.  We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Vikki Orphanos our dedicated Chocolate/Fundraising Coordinator.  Vikki put hundreds of hours of work into making this project a success.  We would like to also thank her  team of volunteers who visited us daily/weekly making this project such a great success.  Thanks to Cindy Lee Olah, Jocelyn Daly, Jodi Parker and Janice Ballinger.
